Prof.  Hirofumi Hamada

Hirofumi Hamada is a professor at the University of Tsukuba.

He served as President of Japanese Society for the Study of Educational Administration in 2015-2018, President of Japanese Society for the Study on Teacher Education in 2020-2023, and has been served as Vice-President of Japanese Educational Research Association since 2023 to the present. He has also served as an Affiliate Member of the Science Council of Japan since 2017 to the present.

His research interests include professional development of teachers and school leaders, school improvement, and teacher and principal leadership in school management. While his primary research area is school management, he has also been involved in teacher education practice and research for many years and has published many articles and books in Japan.
